Among the many dramatic episodes of the siege of Sarajevo in the years 1992 to 1996, the story of a human safari has remained concealed from the public eye. Few people knew that those fighting the war on the Serbian side were not only the Bosnian Serb Army, volunteers and mercenaries but also a small, clandestine group: wealthy foreigners who paid high fees for the chance to shoot at the residents of the city under siege.

Among more than 50,000 Slovenes who left their homes in Gorizia, Trieste and Istria due to the growing pressure of fascism and the economic crisis, around 60 families moved to Macedonia in 1931, to the village of Bistrenica on the Vardar River, 100km from Skopje.

The film deals with the fate of children who, together with their parents, were imprisoned in the Teharje camp near Celje. In June 1945, they were separated from their parents and taken to the Petricek children's camp, and their parents killed and buried in unknown places without trial. Inside the camp, the guards try to rip out the old children's identity with various overhauling measures and to enforce them a new identity. Children lost their parents and childhood, and got wounded so deeply, they have not healed even until today.
