Gvido starts a new job - it's at a small pizzeria chain called "Slice of Paradise" in Riga's suburbs. He meets his new colleagues which consist of a varied bunch of characters, and together they will all need to figure out the day-to-day in this stressful environment.

The Lesson tells the story of Zane, a devoted teacher mentoring the senior class in a Latvian high school. She tries to live her life in the most meaningful way possible. She takes her mission as a teacher seriously, and works hard to help her students develop their talents. Even so, as a younger teacher it’s hard for Zane to keep her distance from the class – the students soon become a sort of family to her. When she realizes she’s falling in love with one of them, the others start to feel left out. She faces a stark choice between personal happiness and the pressures of society.
The Lesson

John is arrested on his 40th birthday, just on the day when he has realized that everything he has been doing before has increased the absurdity and senselessness of this world.
Never, Never, Ever!

A young woman, Regina, has been killed in her apartment. Investigator Anderson holds Regina’s husband as a suspect for a murder because he is unable to remember his location at the time of the fateful event. Gradually, Anderson is convinced that Oto has not only killed his wife, but he also tries to hide his true identity – notorious criminal Schmit.
Hide-and-seek

An omnibus film consisting of ten parts, each directed by a different young director from the Latvian Academy of Culture. The unifying element of the ten shorts is the place where they take place - the airport. A lot can happen there - including a strike by a comet, a malicious attempt to break havoc by passengers, or an exploration of the old airport guard's house where not a lot has changed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The shy scientist Lars decides to publish a small ad in order to find a girlfriend. From the 218 replies, he selects Brigita, an attractive Latvian woman and invites her to Stockholm. But what actually happens after Brigita's arrival is far more complicated than Lars could ever have imagined.

Two ladies arrive at a small inn for a date after a marriage announcement. The prospective bride, Vineta, has a prestigious position, but is not doing well in her private life. Her subordinate Ulla, on the other hand, believes that a modern woman should be free and independent. The women are in for a bit of a disappointment - the man they have chosen, Viktor, has turned up to the meeting in a tracksuit.
