The films main character is Milan, a young refugee from the Balkan War, who joins a team of paramedics but inadvertently ends up involved in the funeral business in order to finance his fiancee s rescue from the hostilities.

Andor Czettl, in his early sixties, visits the secret service archives one day to read into the reports about himself and discovers a shocking fact. His very best friend János Pásztor was an informer, spying on him and writing reports about him for decades. Sára Cserhalmi's first feature focuses not so much on the actual problem of informing and betrayal as on the contradictory relationship of the two protagonists. It avoids any final judgments. First and foremost, it seeks answers to questions like how an informer can live in our present times and how the one being reported on can cope with this state. Can a close friendship that began decades ago last if such betrayal comes to light? How can someone live and cope with this fact?

Dorka’s life as the little heroine of the story takes an unexpected turn when her widowed father announces that she is getting married. The vivid little girl uses every means to protect her father from the dangers of love, and during her adventures she also learns the secrets of friendship and magic.

Andor is a young chess player, who even calls his pet turtle Kasparov. “Do you think I will succeed? - the boy asks her before the decisive tournament. "If I win, he will never come back." Who is Andor talking about and why is he either afraid of this return, or wants it?

What should you do if you realise at the door of the delivery room that you can't handle not only children, but women too? Why is it our fault if they have bad dreams? Why is it wrong to answer honestly when asked if I have lost weight? Is it worth giving our newly licensed wife advice in traffic? Is there a moment in a woman's life when she says: Thank you, I have enough shoes, I don't need any more. And why, despite all this, does our heart still beat when she walks into the room? Well, these questions are not answered in this performance. But it does raise many similar questions about the difficulties, the beauty and the joys of living together. Our film presents the life of a 25-year-old, mute, autistic boy and his parents. The father, long ago, sees the struggle and hatred of his son. The mother is trying to get her family back and she still hopes her baby will talk again. The boy completely excludes the outside world from his life and dedicates his time to reading. A helper coming from outside, unexpectedly opens the door to the boy's inner voice.
