Lexo and Nodar, two house painters, fall in love with Nina, a resident of the house they are painting. In order to keep Nodar out of his way, Lexo suggests that he learn to become a pilot at flying school, but doesn’t know that Nina works as a flight instructor. Lexo pretends to be an experienced pilot. After rescuing a passenger on a damaged plane, Lexo decides to become a professional pilot.

The 17th century rebellion in Kakheti masterminded by Bidzina Cholokashvili gets about the whole Georgia. An Imeretian youth nicknamed as Bashi-Achuk is a real exterminator of the Persians. He attacks the Persian escort and sets free the Georgian women who were supposed to be locked up in the Shah’s harem. Bashi-Achuk’s twin sisters are among the rescued captives. Abdushahil, a Persian warrior who was defeated by Bashi-Achuk in wrestling, falls in love with Mzisa, Bashi-achuk’s sister. Mzisa brings Abdushahil to the camp of the Georgian rebels. Abdushahil learns that he is a Georgian too. As a child he was kidnapped and brought up in Persia. Abdushahil’s army gives up and the Georgians win the battle.

The only son of Otari’s widow decides to serve in the serf owner’s house, and falls in love with the patron’s daughter for whom he can’t reveal his feelings to.

The film depicts the life of a Georgian village after the Second World War. Kesou Mirba, appointed as a brigadier in Saken, wants to get a bountiful harvest of corn on the scarce land of the highland village, he is sure that valuable mineral fertilizer will be found there. Kesou's plans are opposed by farmers who do not want to change their old way of life. One of them will replace the soil samples to be sent to the laboratory.

Gviristine is considered the best tea picker in Khidobni collective farm. Together with other harvesters, she is sent to Moscow to attend the Congress of farmer Musicians. Personal happiness is also attached to this success - a big wedding is held in the collective farm for Gviristine and Mirian.

A childless family adopts a child to raise. The husband takes good care of the baby, but his wife tries to avoid the responsibilities of the mother and finally, taking advantage of her husband's absence, she takes the baby back. In the second family, the situation is the opposite - Lia wants to adopt a baby, but her careless husband prevents her.

The film tells the story of a country rebuilding itself after World War II. In a lively socialist competition between two collective farms, two lovers, Bidzina and Eteri, are actively involved. Bidzina has brought home the son of a fallen comrade from the front, whom Eteri mistakenly believes to be Bidzina's child. This temporary misunderstanding leads to a series of comedic situations.
