Kabukicho, Shinjuku. Shoichi Sakurai meets a man who goes to a mahjong parlor from 9am to 5pm and realizes that there is something missing in his mahjong. Next, a soba restaurant owner from Karuizawa who lost his land because of mahjong appears before Sakurai. Sakurai teaches him mahjong when he asks for his help, but...

Akemi is a dragon tattooed leader of the Tachibana Yakuza clan. In a duel with a rival gang Akemi slashes the eyes of an opponent and a black cat appears, to lap the blood from the gushing wound. The cat along with the eye-victim go on to pursue Akemi’s gang in revenge, leaving a trail of dead Yakuza girls, their dragon tattoos skinned from their bodies.

South of Tokyo is a small island until quite recently relatively unchanged since feudal times. Now, however, it is being made into a tourist's playland and the girls, who had been abalone divers, now become geisha, and the old ways of the island are all topsy-turvy. One of the girls, more sensitive than the rest, sees that here, too, people are motivated only by greed and decides to leave and try to find a better life elsewhere.
