Helena, a woman in her early 40's, is obsessed with getting pregnant. After failing her last try, her neighbors get back from the hospital with their new born baby. Helena breaks in to their house when they´re gone, steals the baby monitor and starts listening to what happens next door.

Marta, a woman who is suffering from an eternal pain she expresses through silences, lack of communication, and unspoken issues – and yet, it is there. Her friendship with a young man from the area creates an interest triggered by its ambiguity: is there s sexual tension, or rather she sees in him a memory of what she lost? Is there an attraction or does the young man stand for the ghost of that past that still exists in Marta's everyday life?

Nestor wants to go live with his sister in the US, nevertheless, he is the only one who lives with his mother and he can't leave her alone.

By inventing a fictional alter ego of himself, director Florian Seufert puts himself in the position to be at the same time the observed object and the observer. In his very personal ways, Florian Seufert appears to re-imagine the spiritual teachings of Carlos Castaneda and the otherworldly musings of Alejandro Jodorowski. Thus, this filmic out-of-body experience becomes an allegory for cinema itself and a sensorial voyage towards a new way of self-discovery. While shamans connect with the hidden realms of ghosts and their ancestors, the circle of life and death becomes whole once again, Florian, living with the Huichol, sheds his former self like an old and useless skin. *Pamparios* is a film about (the search for) self-realization. Walter is obsessed with getting to the enchanted Lagoon. He ignores all warnings to keep him waya. When he finally gets to this magical place, he discovers it's not how he imagined it.

While most of the inhabitants of Monte Virgen struggle to collect their coffee, the forest ranger Julia discovers that a group of illegal loggers is destroying the reserve. Determined to stop them, she looks for the support of a fearful and indifferent community that will soon turn its back on her. Alone on her quest, she will gradually lose the things she loves most except one thing: her dignity.
