An island girl comes to Athens and ends up as a singer in a cabaret. There she meets a sailor called Vasos. Her nostalgia for her island and Dimitris, a young man who loves her and waits for her to return, cannot be extinguished by the city's temptations. When Marina returns to the island, she marries Dimitris and has a child with him. After many years, Vasos comes to the island by chance, and Marina asks him not to reveal her past to Dimitris in order not to disturb their happy life together.

Lalakis is married with Poppe. He goes on a trip to Salonique by train, with his mistress, pretending that he has business there to attend. After his wife found out the truth about the motive of her husbands trip, finally accepts the proposition of Nikos, a man who was in love with her for a long time, and they go to a little village called Thyrassia, which has also a train station. In a poor neighborhood of Athens, next to the coffee shop of Spyros (Mimis Fotopoulos) is a coffee shop that has gained a great reputation and is preparing to move to Kolonaki as it has made a lot of money by telling the cup. It is Giorgos, the doctor that treated Stefania's mother a couple of years ago, and then had a little flirt with Stefania. He has been thinking of her ever since. He immediately falls in love with her, and wants to help her. Stefania is thinking about any possibility to get out from the prison.
