While supposedly taking mud baths in Korea, the paterfamilias of a family from Tehran’s Grand Bazaar dies of a sudden heart attack in Brive-la-Gaillarde. His wife and his oldest son travel to France to bring his body home and to investigate the circumstances of his death.

Amir, a young Iranian, signs on with a fisherman on the rugged Caspian Sea coast in order to earn the money he needs to marry his sweetheart, Narges. But in so doing, he becomes entangled in the criminal machinations of caviar poaching. Piece by piece, a complex hierarchy is revealed in a parallel realm that becomes ever more constricting and oppressive, endangering Amir’s relationship with Narges as well.

Tehran 2022. Sina, a sixteen years old teenager from today's Tehranian middle class, experiences a new life on the verge of his parents' divorce. Crude Oil comes out of a middle aged woman's body is on one hand empowering her and on the other hand bringing uncertainty and paranoia to her life and when a male paranoia is build up against her body's malfunction and oil is gradually trivialized and just there to solve some small family issues, the condition gets exacerbated with her body.
