Biography
Ravi Vallathol ( 25 November 1952-25 April 2020) was a Malayalam actor, mainly noted for his acting in many famous serials, including the first serial in Malayalam. He was born as the son of famous Drama legend TN Gopinathan Nair and Soudamini. He was the nephew of the famous Malayalam poet Vallathol Narayana Menon. He has acted in more than 100 TV series and more than 50 Movies. He has written 25 short stories and a few plays. His play 'Revathikkoru Pavakkutty' was remade as a movie in the same name. He played some noted roles in famous Malayalam movies like Nee Varuvolam and Godfather.
Known For

Mathilukal ('Walls') is a free adaptation of the novelette of the same name, written by the celebrated Malayalam writer, Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Autobiographical in character, it is set against the background of India’s freedom struggle in the ’40s when he was serving a term of imprisonment in the Trivandrum Central Jail. When the film opens, we see Basheer in a police lock-up, quite at home in the company of a few petty criminals. He has been languishing there for more than a year now without a trial.

Ramaswamy (Jayaram) and Veni (Parvathy) are very close brahmin siblings who lost their parents in their childhood. They live under the protection of Devan (Nedumudi Venu) in a tourist town near Trivandrum.
