Tales from the Darkside is an anthology horror TV series created by George A. Romero, each episode was an individual short story that ended with a plot twist. The series' episodes spanned the genres of horror, science fiction, and fantasy, and some episodes featured elements of black comedy or more lighthearted themes.

To inherit his mother-in-law's colossal fortune, a hard living gambling addict must change his unhealthy ways before it gets the best of him.

Vicki is seventeen and her older friends call her Jailbait. Her boyfriend Robert is frustrated because Vicki doesn't want to do the wild thing, but he's willing to wait. After a party gets out of hand, Vicki escapes with the help of Lorraine, who takes her in as a houseguest. While Lorraine teaches Vicki etiquette, Robert wonders what happened to his girlfriend. And Vicki soon learns more about Lorraine's job as an "executive liaison."

A horror movie anthology: "She's Bad, She's Blonde, She's Lunch" follows a couple as they hold up a store to pay the rent, then take an ill-fated trip to Lover's Lane, where they meet a man involved in genetic research. "Cardinal Sin" features a young man who escapes into Hustler fantasies and must avoid his overbearing and religious mom. In "Pet Shop of Death" a henpecked husband goes to a specialty pet store to get something to help free him up so he can pursue his neighbor. "Last Love" is about a psychiatrist who is forlorn over the loss of her husband, and takes steps to make her affair with his ghost more permanent. Finally, in "What Goes Around..." a composer who can't create music since the death of his wife and child finds new inspiration from the affair with a femme fatale.
