Biography
Phil Garrett is Head of Production and Development for Good Deed Entertainment and its genre label, Cranked Up Films. He's produced projects with Genre Labs, Elevate Pictures, Arbor Avenue Films, Mosquito Entertainment, and ZapruderFlix, among others, ranging in genre from horror to science fiction, action, realist dramas, and documentaries. His experimental and documentary shorts have screened in galleries and venues in the US, Iceland, Portugal, Germany, Ireland, and Greece. He shares the Best Screenplay award from the 2021 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival with writer Brian R. Hauser for their adaptation of Lovecraft's "The Haunter of the Dark." He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in theatre from The Ohio State University where his work focused on Integrated Media, Video, Directing, and New Works, and culminated in the immersive theater experience and film, "All Things Shining."
