Ciao Darwin is a variety game show format from Italy sold under licence to several countries, including Romania, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Canada, USA, China and Greece. There are two competing teams of about 50 people each, usually made up of people who fit certain opposing stereotypes. In each game two members of the audience are selected at random, one from each team, indicated by a light in front of them which remains illuminated when all the other team members' lights have gone off. The games involve contestants competing in acts of bravery, style and talent, some of which are designed to humiliate the contestants, especially an assault course which was introduced with the Italian version in 2010, and the Finale which is a water tank game.

"Il testimone" (i.e. The witness) is a tv show created, made and presented by Pif. Every episode consists of a "mini-reportage", filmed through a little camera that Pif brings himself. This makes the spectator feel as if most of the tv filtres are removed and thus they can almost witness the events with their own eyes and feel directly involved in the social messages brought on by the show. Themes vary: they go from interviews to famous individuals, to trips, to the work of associations or even small everyday realities.

It has been almost thirty years since Filippo Dobrilla started to sculpt a giant male nude inside a cave 650 metres deep in the Apuan Alps. This almost inaccessible place has jealously protected his secret: his youthful passion for a fellow climber, a passion Filippo was only able to indulge in here in the intimacy of this cave. Rome 2016, Alessandrino district (eastern outskirts of the capital). In a small house on the ground floor, where the noise of local traffic echoes, live Ester and her husband Richard Benson. Well-known face of the Italian show, now disgraced. "Hello everyone, I’m Richard Benson and I’m sick. I can’t afford medicine so I appeal to all my fans, because today I risk dying". These words that the artist releases on RepubblicaTV, in a short time make the rounds of the Italian media. In the message he boasts to be one of the fastest guitarists in the world, to have had collaborations with international artists of the Rock and Metal scene, and to have done over 10,000 concerts over the years. It must be because of his shock statement, or because of the battered look he would never think of such a successful past. But for those who hear about it for the first time, the question arises: "Who the hell is Richard Benson?!"

A film-journey into the art of Wolfango, born in Bologna in 1926, "the greatest living Italian painter", as Eugenio Riccomini defined him, who first, in 1986, convinced him to exhibit his works. "Painting enters inside and speaks to the world; indeed, it speaks to the world". His production is based on this assumption, extraneous to contemporary artistic currents. The film is also a passionate chorus of those who have known and appreciated it in the last thirty years.
