Lam Siu-ming cannot afford tuition and quitted school. His teacher Ms. Chui intercedes with the principal in vain. She quits. Chui became an orphanage director. She suffers from the orphans’ mischief, but she treats them with love and honesty instead of punishing them. She gets recognition from kids and colleagues. Siu-ming is expelled. He dares not go home and lives on pickpocketing with street boys. Chui learns that Siu-ming is missing and looks for him. Siu-ming feels ashamed and avoids her. Chui finds Siu-ming and takes him and the street boys to the orphanage, yet they cannot be disciplined and escape. Little Bully runs after them, but is beaten down on the railway. Siu-ming's legs are cut off by the train when he tries to save Little Bully. The escaped kids regret for this. Chui's cousin wants her to go abroad together, but at the farewell party, he is moved by the orphans, so he does not force the plan, and decides to stay behind to serve the kids.

Leader of the Celestial Devil Gang Mo Fu ends an underling to infiltrate the house of code expert Cheung Yuet-ting in pursuit of the Mafia's secret intelligence. Struggling to find true bliss, the lovers gain the blessing of Lam's second uncle. On the eve of Cheng's father's birthday banquet, Lam is pressured to strike again under the watchful eye of Lucy sent by the man who's pulling the strings on the marionette behind the scenes who has threatened to kill Cheng. The quick-witted woman aborts the operation, claiming to have spotted her previous victims from amongst the guests. Her confession gains Cheng's understanding, but not his father's. The ringleader brings the liaison to an end by blackmailing the father and putting Lam under house arrest. Helping the girl flee, Second Uncle is killed in the commotion. The police act on the father's tip-off and bust the gang, clearing the way for the lovers to tie the knot.

Red Kid abducts Monk Tripitaka to turn his flesh into a feast to treat his mother Princess Iron Fan. Monkey King is subdued. Red Kid is taken as a disciple of the Goddess of Mercy. As Monk Tripitaka and his disciples reach the Flaming Mountain, they are unable to pass through it. The monk sends Monkey to borrow the princess's magic fan to disperse the fire. But the Princess still bears a grudge over her son’s destiny, wielding her fan to slap Monkey away. Monkey transforms into a bug, landing in her tea and hitting her stomach. In pain, the Princess answers his request, but she lends him a fake fan. With his request turned down by Ox King, Monkey disguises as Ox to beguile the wife and get the fan. Ox King transforms into Pigsy to snatch back the fan. Taoist God Pagoda arrives to subdue Ox in the company of Red Kid. Ox finally relents and yields the fan, which extinguishes the flames and sees the monk and his disciples safely off to a new phase of their journey.
