Alice Seleznyova, a girl from the future, finds herself 1984. Following her are the space pirates Krys and Joker Y, with most nasty pirate's intentions. Coming to her help is an ordinary boy, Kolya, and his friends from 6th grade. Based on Kir Bulychyov's 1077 novel "One Hundred Years Ahead."

6-grader Kolya Gerasimov discovers a time machine in a basement of an old house in Moscow and gets transferred into the 21st century. There he is allowed to look around. Accidentally, Kolya witnesses two space pirates who arrive from Saturn and later try to steal a device called a "Mielophone" (which can read thoughts) from Alisa Seleznyova - a girl that performs experiments with this device and animals. Kolya manages to save the device from the pirates and brings it back to the 20th century. But both pirates and Alisa get there too. The heroes got married shortly before the start of the war. In the summer of 1941, Grigory went to the front, was wounded and evacuated along with the hospital. Attempts to find her husband were unsuccessful. Tamara went to the front line as a medical instructor, then graduated from the artillery school and became a platoon commander. And later I found out that Grigory was picked up by villagers and, having changed his oath, he remained waiting for the arrival of the Soviet Army. Realizing his mistake, Grigory realized that only with blood he could atone for his guilt - and reached the front line, no longer afraid of death. Soon Tamara received a notification of his death. After the war, she remarried and was happy, like many in the post-war years. And only the unexpected return of Gregory for a while made her doubt the legitimacy of this happiness.

The film tells about the childhood of Yuri Gagarin, about that time of life, which, in his own words, played an important role in shaping his character: war, the occupation of their villages by the Germans, famine, the theft of the elder brother and sister to Germany, the expulsion of the Nazis from Smolensk, moving family in the city of Gzhatsk.
