This is the story of two completely opposite households: the Pavone are intellectual and bourgeois, the Vismara are proletarian and fascists. They are two tribes sharing the same jungle: Rome. People are never what they seem – but we are all predators in the end.

Beyond the boundaries of rules, on the other side of morality, there is a sea full of humanity and symbols to be discovered. Enea and Valentino will fly over it to the furthest extremes. However, drugs and the underworld are the invisible shadow of a story about something else: a melancholy father, a brother fighting at school, a mother defeated by love and a beautiful girl, a happy ending and a happy death, a palm tree falling on a glass world.

Flaminia De Angelis, a cheerful girl from North Rome, is obsessed with fitness and comes from a wealthy background. Under pressure from her mother, she is about to marry Alberto, the son of a diplomat, as a means to climb the social ladder. The arrival of her autistic half-sister, Ludovica, turns her life upside down, and an unexpected event puts everything at risk.

Dario, recently retired, suffers from inexplicable crying fits. One day, he decides to visit his son Mimmo, who has just started working away from home. Mimmo, embarrassed by the unexpected intrusion, avoids the meeting. Dario spends the day with Clara and Mirco, Mimmo's flatmates.

Doriano, overwhelmed by a tense family environment and a romantic relationship on the verge of collapsing, seeks refuge in the virtual world, convinced it will give him the freedom he longs for. But this new reality soon becomes a trap, pulling him further and further away from the people closest to him. As his family struggles to understand his transformation, he begins to question whether his isolation is the cause or the consequence of their own breakdown.
