Eight-years old Kuba is on the trail of a magic stone, which pieces float somewhere in the world. If he puts the pieces together, the magic stone will bring happiness and prosperity to everyone. In search of the magic bits, Kuba and his brother travel through time and space visiting an ancient Gaul pre-Slavic Biskupin.

Early 90's. The political and economic landscape of Poland, Russia and Germany is changing. Both good and bad sides of freedom are revealed. The mafia is becoming more and more bold, operating without obstacles across borders. One of the more lucrative "businesses" is the trade in luxury cars, stolen in Germany and transferred to Russia by Russia.

The protagonist of the film is a 12-year-old boy - Witek, the son of a small-town miller, a former entrepreneur who, after the war, holed up in a small town as a craftsman. The boy's mother is a beautiful and subtle woman, raising children and raising a home. Through the house of Witek's parents there is a gallery of picturesque characters who are perceived by the child warmly and with humor.

Tom Strusinski - "Ostrich" to his friends - has got it all: good looks, brilliant career, and money. Everything is going great until he meets a beautiful girl named Justyna. To win her heart he needs to join the basketball team owned by her father's faltering company. Tom meets Dr. Devilish, a physician who makes an extraordinary offer that he can’t refuse: a shot of a miraculous substance that results in outstanding physical abilities which will enable him to play on the team. What he does not know is that he made a deal with the devil.
