Chung Kwok-Chu is a renowned food critic and an assistant editor-in-chief of a newspaper, Ko Jim Daily. When his son, Si-Hon returns from Canada, Chu is disappointed to find that Si Hon intends to become a chef rather than taking up a professional career. His attempts to guide his son away are thwarted when Shum Bui-yee, a well-known and respected chef, reluctantly accepts Si-Hon as her assistant. The Gem of Life was a TVB grand production drama, that broadcast between October 2008 and February 2009. The series was specifically filmed to celebrate TVB's 41st Anniversary. The series was filmed in many locations apart from Hong Kong, including Tibet, Taiwan and France.

The series was originally announced to be a spin-off of the 2011 series Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir! featuring the popular character "Miss Cool" portrayed by Chung. A costume fitting press conference was held on 21 November 2011 at Tseung Kwan O TVB City Studio One Common Room at 12:30PM.

The King of Snooker is a TVB television drama miniseries revolving around the sport of snooker in Hong Kong. It was originally broadcast by the network in 2009, from 30 March through 24 April, and subsequently re-released on DVD in several translations.

The Greatness of a Hero is a Hong Kong television historical drama serial produced by TVB under executive producer Leung Choi-yuen. It first aired on Malaysia's Astro On Demand from 9 February to 6 March 2009 and on several TVB overseas cable channels in 2010. Starting 2 April 2012, The Greatness of a Hero will air on Hong Kong's free-to-air channels Jade and HD Jade.

A Journey Called Life is a TVB modern drama series broadcast in March 2008. This is also one of the few TVB series that TVB has produced that dealt with real life issues and scenarios. It's a series that involved both morals and life's lessons. The entire series featured problems that teenagers and young adults have been dealing with over past decade, including drugs, abortions, rape, family trust and relationships, money and greed.

Ghost Writer is a 2010 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB. The protagonist of the series, Po Chung-ling, is based on the author of Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, a collection of Chinese tales on the supernatural. The series tells how he was inspired to write those stories based on his personal encounters with the supernatural.

Fly With Me is an TVB modern comedy-action series. Leung Hau-Chi or Yvonne (Ada Choi) is a typical career woman in her 30s - fussy, arrogant and easily irritated by the sight of beautiful young women. Desperate for love and for something exciting to happen in her life, Chi is miserable and begins to despair when she abruptly transforms into a superwoman of incredible charm and strength. With each new amazing power, Chi uses her extraordinary powers to fight for justice, help the weak, and go on remarkable adventures. On the way, she meets three kindhearted men: Yeung Ho-Yin (Kenny Wong), a brave but traditional policeman; Tsu Wing-Fai (Raymond Cho), a good-natured self-made businessman; and Kan Ming-Hin (Moses Chan), a genius plastic surgeon. A previously successful entrepreneur, Mak Tai Song searches for his mentor's wife, Sheh Mo Lin and helps pay off her debt because he feels guilty for his mentor's death. Meanwhile, Tong Kat pleads Mak Tai Song to mentor him, hoping to accomplish something for his father's billionaire company. Song ends up mentoring Tong Kat on a part-time basis and take shelves of good wine as payments. Song then gets chased down on making payments for She Mo Lin's debt by Lam Miu Miu, the debt collection agent. The conflicting personalities of Lam Miu Miu, a wild spender and Mak Tai Song, a free-loader, causes many laughing moments, and finally both fall in love with each other. When Lam Miu Miu thinks things are finally turning out the way she wants, she gets confused by Song's sudden changes and evil-tactics against Ngon Jo Lin, Song's half-brother. Perhaps Song's long-lost childhood will change him entirely and make him more distant to Lam Miu Miu.

The story revolves around three members of a police surveillance squad conducting an investigation into a financial investment group involved in criminal fraud. The focus of the plot, however, is actually on the three officers themselves who stumble upon an opportunity to capitalize on information they gathered during their surveillance.
