Jacek, a young violinist, falls in love with reciprocity with the cellist Ania. Ania's mother is against this relationship. So she sends Jacek to Cracow to get an antique violin. In the meantime, he and Ania go to New York. Jacek returns to Warsaw as soon as possible. However, the last train from Krakow has already left. On the platform, however, he meets people who are going to Katowice, from where the fastest train to Warsaw leaves. On the train, Jacek meets miners who are going to Warsaw to protest. He accidentally gets soiled with coal, which causes airport security to take him for one of the protesting miners who want to plant a bomb on the plane. Jacek runs onto the runway, but on the stairs to the plane is hit by anti-terrorists trying to prevent the alleged bombing.

Zygmunt Latawczyc - a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań - is, as he himself says, "a naturalist painter". As such, he cannot paint from television, photos, scans, the Internet - only "exclusively from nature". That is why most of Latawczyc's money is spent on models. An additional circumstance is that Zygmunt - "never dreams of anything". When Zygmunt meets the beautiful model Zuzanna, he quickly comes to the conclusion that he should necessarily paint her with a parrot on his shoulder. The parrot (Ara Ararauna) selected for this purpose costs PLN 6,000.

Leon Goldring, a Polish Jew living in the United States, comes to Poland after several decades and visits the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. He tells about the shocking details of his stay in the concentration camp. His account is accompanied by the song "Mein sztetełe Bełz".

Roberto is a young Cuban who is visiting Poland. And times are not merry - the Cuban conflict is about to begin. His stay is not successful, so Roberto returns to his country.
