Set in 1974, a pair of '60s radicals rely on their bomb-making skills on their way to becoming capitalists.

Entirely made in California, the film brings together 30 American and European actors in an epic which crosses the mythical territories of that cinematic land from Zabriskie Point to Mulholland Drive. California is revisited through the movie memories incarnated by the very presence of famous actors and actresses. "The American Tetralogy" is a way of staging reality which questions the fictional nature of the movies.

An intellectual leaves the Cuban revolution and 'underdevelopment' behind only to find himself at odds with the ambiguities of his new life in the 'developed' world. A portrait of alienation, of an outsider with no clear-cut politics or ideology. A stranger in a strange land struggling with old age, sexual desire and ultimately the impossibility for the individual to belong in any society. The film's narrative is a collage of flashbacks, daydreams, and hallucinations comprising live-action, animation, and newsreel footage assembled to suggest the way personal memory works, subjectively and emotionally.

This film is based on a true story, and set in the affluent world of Kentucky thoroughbred horse racing; a close-knit society with a fiercely protected reputation as the guardians of this, "the sport of kings."

The most famous gypsy prima donna, Cinka Panna, lived and worked in the 18th century at the crossroads of two worlds: the aristocracy she played for and the gypsy community in which she lived her private life. A community that had its own rules of existence. In the spirit of tradition, she was sold into marriage. A young woman's desire is to succeed in a traditionally male profession. To become the first prima donna. But the goal requires sacrifice. Historical, narrative, the story captures a universal theme: the struggle for recognition and a place in the world. It reminds us that times and costumes change, but human problems remain... And these are what make the film's story timeless.

River Miller, a mentally unstable actor haunted by the past, moves to Hollywood to start his life over, only to find his inner demons are inescapable.
