Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.
A Padroeira was a Brazilian soap opera produced and displayed at the time of 18 hours by Rede Globo, between June 18, 2001 and February 23, 2002, and presented in 215 chapters. It was written by Walcyr Carrasco collaboration with Duca Rachid and directed by Walter Avancini, and had Deborah Secco, Luigi Baricelli, Elizabeth Savalla and MaurĂcio Mattar in leading roles.

Esmeralda is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT in association with Televisa and originally broadcast from December 6, 2004, to July 19, 2005. It is a Brazilian adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Esmeralda (1997), itself based on the original story by Delia Fiallo. Adapted by Henrique Zambelli and Rogério Garcia, the telenovela stars Bianca Castanho and Cláudio Lins. The story follows Esmeralda, a young woman who has been blind since birth after being accidentally switched with another baby shortly after her birth. Raised by a humble family in the countryside, she grows up unaware of her true identity.
