Håkan Bergström

Britta is the foster daughter of Professor Rydberg. The last 13 years she has lived with him and his son Sven. She and Sven are closely not only at the siblings' way. They are engaged.

Orphan girl Gunilla (nick named Kulla-Gulla) gets sent from her orphanage to work as an housemaid at sharecropper Karlbergs household. Among her duties is to take care of Karlberg, his wife and their five children.

A waitress finds out that her fourteen year old brother is a member of a youth gang doing burglaries in kiosks. Valdemar Jansson escapes prison and seeks out his fiancee Karin, but she does not want to know about him. She studies at the Social Institute and provides herself as a waitress in a cafe. She lives with her grandmother and her younger brother Benke. One day she discovers that Benke belongs to a boy, who makes minor burglaries in newspaper kiosks.

Björn Norell, a bookish assistant to an art dealer, is fired because of his inability to find the third of a trio of Buddha statues. In order to get his job back, Norell, goes on a hunt to find it in order to get his job back. Meanwhile, the art dealer has sent his daughter Ulla after him to retrieve the statue. About a love triangle between the soldiers 32 Svensson and 58 Jönsson and the girl Blenda. Both men ends up in jail, for different reasons. Further adventures and incidents occur.

Unsuccessful composer Stig disguises himself as a woman to play in ex-fiancee Sonja's seven piece women's orchestra, which is temporarily short one member, at a hotel. When Stig's jealous, and unsuccessful actress, wife Eva finds out about it she too disguises herself as the opposite sex by posing as a hotel porter. Additional complications arise and hilarity ensues!
