A tantric terrorizes a village called Ramadurga. A man comes to the village to know the mystery of his birth. He learns that his grandfather was killed trying to save the village from the tantrik and he defeats him.

An illegitimate girl lives with her father and his family. However, the situation gets twisted when she develops feelings for her father's brother-in-law.

The plot revolves around a boy called Shyam and his relationship with his mother. It shares the effect Shyam's mother has had on Shyam's life and upbringing, and how he is taught to stick to his ideals and principles, even in the face of poverty. The relationships of all the individuals in Shyam's family are explored.
