The man-hungry “vampire,” later to be popularized by America’s Theda Bara, made her screen debut in this Danish melodrama directed by August Blom. Clara Wieth starred in the title role of the Vampire Dancer, which is just what she was: a dancer performing her seductions on-stage. Off-stage, the young girl is kindhearted and a bit naïve. The lustful dance, during which Robert Dinesen succumbs to the dancer’s fatal charms, remained the centerpiece of the film, which was a popular success and made Wieth an international star.

Family man Poul Berg is tempted by a questionable investement offer and indebts himself to a point where suicide seems like the only way out. Jens Larsen has worked hard to become a wealthy man in America, and when he travels home to visit Denmark, the people he meets are extremely acommodating. A little too acommodating, as it turns out. The only surviving film of the Danish series about the world famous detective Sherlock Holmes that ran between 1908-1911.

A picture of the life of the Danish people from the late 1820s to the introduction of the free constitution in 1849. A fictional character, Rasmus Nielsen, travels around the country, first as a traveling teacher, later in other positions, and through his experiences we are introduced to the conditions of various population groups. The central figure in the portrayal of historical figures is the politician Orla Lehmann.

The story is about a student named Peder Pedersen, who has tried to pass his law degree exam the max number of times without success. He hasn't been able to make anything concrete out of his 7-year engagement to a young lady either, because he's way too into anything detective-related. The attic of a city house is the home to a colony of artists. Among them is a writer, whose corpus is larger than her output. We also meet a hard-of-hearing poet who can still hear the grass growing. "The Seventh Heaven", as the corridor is called, also houses two prominent residents, Fyrtårnet and Bivognen. They have set up a small diner and engage lively with the artist from the colony.

Court huntsman, Søtoft, is courting his daughter Else’s lady-in-waiting, Miss Engelke.
