Gumercindo is a simple man who sees the daughter become pregnant of the son of its boss. Determined to demand that his grandson have a father, he joins neighbors to seek justice in his own way.

An wealthy Italian immigrant from São Paulo, watches closely the suitors of his daughter Fiametta, whose two previous husbands "suffered accidents" because they did not bear good children. She can only get pregnant of someone who, like her, bears the blood of the rare K factor.

Three couples, two already living in Rio; and the third, with 'the one who hates carnival', coming to visit an aunt. One of the women bets that all husbands are unfaithful. They send invitations to their husbands to the carnival ball. They find a pretext to be able to attend. They, in turn, go in disguise, just like the maid. Hence the confusion at the ball, each one dating the other's wife.

The Companhia de Esquetches Musicados do Teatro 'Brasil' is in crisis. After the debut of a new play failed, impresario Artur Fernandes, despite protests from Nini del Mar—the company's star—decides to hire Vitorino, the only writer who understands the audience's tastes and the company's artistic capabilities, to write the next play.

Catita goes with her husband to spend the honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro and on the trip they fall into the hands of a player who will try to use them to achieve their ends.

Returning from a pleasant horseback ride, two lovers on their way home contemplate each other, entranced by the modesty inherent in the rigid customs they were raised in. The hero feels an irrepressible desire to come to Rio. In the capital, interested in a theater star, he heads to Buenos Aires to win her heart.
