In 1982, almost five million people took theaters to see Erotic Things, the first Brazilian porn film. The production is today considered a major episode in the history of Brazilian cinema because it was launched during the country's military dictatorship. Thirty years later, The First Time of Brazilian Cinema found the producers and actors to tell the inside story of this fascinating journey.

This documentary, produced by the Mazzaropi Institute, shows movie scenes, testimonials of researchers, historians, intellectuals, and popular artists. As a bonus, it shows parts of Mazzaropi's last appearance on TV, on Hebe Camargo Show.

Divided into three episodes based on stories by Stanislaw Ponte Preta (Sérgio Porto), the film portrays three young people from Rio de Janeiro: a furious lover, a beautiful beachgoer, and a former beauty queen. All live in profound solitude amid the apparent social vibrancy of Copacabana.
