Developing from an idea of diptych, the story of Anajara and Allison is told from two perspectives in continuity. If late night work complicates the life of one of them, the incarceration in jail of the other determines a cycle of separation. Salaviza's skill to direct amateur actors is showed in this film, one of his more precise works.

It passes through Botequim, Assembleia da República, Hotel Britânia, Teatro Micaelense, Parque Terra Nostra, and so many other places once inhabited by Natália and now by these actors who help us to unearth the myths, ghosts, and pains born in the life and work of Natália — one of the most important figures in Portuguese culture, literature, and politics, before and after April 25.

Somewhere in Europe... Nightime. A woman and two men in a van making its way through a maze of highways. The woman looks into the darkness, and then at the traffic that's getting denser. The two men take her into a rundown building. The woman is assaulted. The van is parked near a highway, and there are now three women and two men inside. They wait. A car pulls up. A man and a woman get out... One of the women from the van tries to escape... They grab hold of her. The two vehicles leave, and are lost in the night.
