In 1941 Greece, on the eve of German occupation, cynical American foreign correspondent Michael Morrison arrives in Athens, intending to depart for London the following day. While there he is tricked into smuggling a list of resistance leaders out of the country and is pursued by the Germans.

Charilaos (Orestis Makris), a retired officer with very strict and conservative principles, raises his four daughters with... military discipline, taking care of their culture, their appearance and their good behavior. Despite all his desire to marry them, he does not leave them anywhere alone, as a result of which no man approaches them. His wife, Efterpi (Eleni Zafiriou), as well as his friend and neighbor Xenophon (Pantelis Zervos), make remarkable efforts to convince him to change his tactics, but he insists on his very conservative behavior. But when the conversation reaches the well-to-do sister of Kalliopis (Georgia Vassiliadou) who has been living in Chicago, USA for years, everything turns upside down. She returns to Athens and undertakes to modernize the general's house, as well as help the four girls (and her nieces) to be rehabilitated.

Three airthcraftmen have their military service in an aviation office camp. The commander of this camp is Kakalos with the military rank of Group Captain. He is a strict commander but he is also ambitious, flirtatious and sometimes blunderer. Other basic members of the cast are Hlapatsas, a nark aircraftman, Karavaneas a naive sergeant and Boubou the secretary of the commander. Based on the short story by Nikolai Gogol, this blackly comic fairytale is about a lonely social outcast who, in an effort to raise his status at work, spends all his money on a new overcoat, which seemingly gives him the approval he craves. But when it's stolen from him, he cannot return to his previous life of anonymity, leading to a downward spiral from which there is no return.

A Ruthless gang along with the assistance of their leader's girlfriend Monica, make a heist into an spirits factory's vault and they take 20 millions. On their way out after closing back the vault the alarm goes off and the police is after them. During a shootout all of the member are killed or wounded apart from the gang leader Peter, who makes it, to his girlfriend's car, with all the money in a bag, and he also takes hostage a high rank police officer. The peculiar fellowship is now running away from cops, escaping from road blocks, helicopters and car chases, stealing and changing vehicles constantly in an effort to cross all over Greece and make it to the northern borders.
