Biography

Myrto Kontova is a Greek journalist, writer and lyricist. She was born in Athens. She has written lyrics for many artists, including Anna Vissi, Dimitra Galani, Alkistis Protopsalti, Dimitris Basis, Yiannis Kotsiras, Sakis Rouvas, etc. Her song that became the biggest hit and managed to stay in time is "Trava Skandali" with music by Dimitra Galani and performance by Alkistis Protopsalti. Also in the 2007/2008 season, the comedy series "Idserpa Plasmata", written by her own script, was broadcast by the Alpha TV channel, winning the award for best original script "Prosopa 2008".[2] From October 2009 to June 2010, her next sitcom, "Talk Dirty to Me," aired on Mega. She has also written the young adult novel "The Bunch of Weird Things", while in recent years she has been answering readers' letters in the "Talk Dirty to Me" column in the "Athens Voice" newspaper.

The reality show "As Long as I Have a Voice" began in 2008. The first episodes present snapshots from the recording of Anna Vissi's album "Forbidden". The camera moves to her apartment in New York, where the singer opens the door. Her tour in Australia follows, with footage from rehearsals and moments from the dressing rooms. The well-known journalist, writer and lyricist Myrto Kontova edited 900 hours of material, divided it into stories and supplemented it with filming and interviews of close friends, collaborators, relatives and Anna herself. Her family, mother, daughter Sofia, sister, friends and fans participate in the reality show, while Anna Vissi comments on her experiences, images and thoughts at various stages of her life. Sakis Rouvas participates since filming continued during the appearances of Anna Vissi and Sakis Rouvas at the Athens Arena in the musical performance "Face2Face".

The series follows the lives and loves of three 30-something professionals in modern day Athens. Elli (Faidra Douka) is a junior executive in a record company, having to deal with a highly demanding bitch-of-a-boss. Following the end of a serious relationship, Elli is worried about never having a chance to marry or have kids. Her search for new partners mostly results in the entry of weirdos in her life. Mitsaki (Mirto Alikaki) is a radio producer with a love-hate-relationship with her own boss. A life-long party girl with a tendency towards short-lived relationships and an aversion to taking any short of responsibility, Mitsaki has to come to grips with the idea of growing up. Billy (Giorgos Pyrpassopoulos) is a reporter with a rather unsteady love-life. He is a homosexual, but tends to be turned-off by the quirks of his various partners and has yet to fully commit to a relationship.
