A loose remake of “12 Angry Men”, “12” is set in contemporary Moscow where 12 very different men must unanimously decide the fate of a young Chechen accused of murdering his step-father, a Russian army officer. Consigned to a makeshift jury room in a school gymnasium, one by one each man takes center stage to confront, connect, and confess while the accused awaits a verdict and revisits his heartbreaking journey through war in flashbacks.

The story of the growing up of Lyosha, who turned 18 years old. Life asks him more and more difficult questions about love, family, duty and his path than it did at 14. And he, just as then, must answer them himself.

In 1993, Nikita Mikhalkov made a feature film “Remembering Chekhov”. After the footage was edited, he realized that the film went wrong. thus he made a difficult decision – not to show it to a wide audience. almost 30 years later, in his documentary “the film that went wrong”, the director tries to understand and analyze the reason for that failure. for the first time he will also show scenes from “remembering chekhov” to the audience.

The film is based on the early songs of Viktor Tsoi. This is a story about a young slacker, easy and fun going through life. He strumming a guitar and composing songs. Drinks with idle friends. The usual, almost domestic, history of betrayal changes everything radically. So the poet is born.

World War II. In autumn 1941 the German troops completely surrounded one of the biggest Russian cities — Leningrad. 2,5 million civilians got trapped in the city. The German commandment decided to destroy the city with bombings, artillery attacks and, most importantly, with hunger. The most difficult first winter of the siege (1941 — 1942). A young woman Olga is walking through the whole city to her father. She wants to see him one last time to say goodbye and to ask for his forgiveness.
