Tension begins to rise when only high school students are chosen to participate, but the middle school students challenge the players who possess the 11th to 20th positions to steal their places. With the delayed appearance of the "Genius 10," the middle school students begin scheming among themselves to claim those spots as well. Unlikely pairings start to work together, combining their efforts to defeat the top 10 players of the country. It is a battle of wits, deception, and skill—all for the privilege of representing Japan at the U-17 World Cup.

So it is some big surprise to him when he gets saddled with watching Yuzuyu, a cute little girl.Yuzuyu`s mother has gone missing, and so Kippei`s family is watching her until her mother can be found. Of course, since Kippei could use a few lessons in responsibility, he is the "best" choice for the job.This story is working out to be very cute. Kippei`s natural "mother" instinct is really brought to the front while trying to to his best for Yuzuyu, but he is a boy. His ineptitude regarding the smallest things a mother would need to know [like packing a lunch for school] are endearing rather than hokey, and the character of Yuzuyu is cute, without being overly so.

One morning as he arrives at the train station on his way to school, 17-year-old Nakaido Hirosuke catches sight of a beautiful girl, Ajimu Yasuna, and immediately falls for her. The two of them get to know each other and become friends. One night, a man carrying a briefcase is attacked by masked bandits. Cutey Honey narrowly saves him. The man's briefcase, an archaeologist, contains a strange chrysalis that he stole from the Panther Claw organization. This butterfly, originally from Mexico and extinct for 6,000 years, is according to legend a guardian angel, helping men reach paradise. The Panther Claw organization tries to recover the briefcase, but fails again... However, they manage to kidnap Cutey Honey's best friend. To save him, our heroine will accompany the archaeologist to Central America following in the footsteps of an ancient civilization, where she fights against insectoids and ends up in a forest full of bright green butterflies.

The stand-alone pilot OVA which was shown as part of the "Jump Super Anime Tour" of 1998. Shortly before the TV series, a summary is presented of the story of Gon who wants to become a hunter and the friends he makes in the process.

Shishio's plan is enacted while Kenshin and Misao help defend the city.
