Godfather is a Pakistani Urdu film directed by Hriday Shetty released across theaters in Pakistan on October 14, 2007. This film has a cast including both Pakistani and Indian actors. It showed Vinod Khanna for the first time on the Pakistani cinema screen. It was distributed nationwide by the Pakistani private channel ARY Digital. The film may have drawn inspiration from Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather. It was successful film upon its release in Pakistan.

The main protagonist is Chander, a tourist photographer in the Indian city of Nainital who lives with his parents (played by Alok Nath and Kanu Gill) and best friend Johnny (played by Sanjay Narvekar). While on his way to work, he meets a stage dancer (a banjaran) named Nirmala [played by Preeti Jhangiani] and is seduced by her beauty. He takes photographs of her and later befriends her, serenading her with sweet nothings about "taking her across the moon and stars" and promises to take her to the city of dreams, Mumbai. She agrees to be with him, despite objections from her guardians, her uncle (played by (Tej Sapru) and aunt (played by Himani Shivpuri) who had other plans for her. From there her career as a star begins under a new name, Garima.

Subrahmanyam (Pawan Kalyan), the youngest son of the family wastes away his life. His father always scolds him but his brother Chakri (Achyuth) who is a boxer, and friend Jaanu (Preeti Jhangiani) dote him. Meanwhile he falls in love with Lovely (Aditi) and for this he keeps on telling lies to her that he is very rich. Jaanu in the middle truly loves Subrahmanyam and gives him everything he asks her for thinking that he is doing these for her but he does it for lovely. Will Subrahmanyam realize what true love is?

Reena and fellow collegian Akash Mehta are medical (psychiatry)students. They are sweethearts and hope to marry each other after completing their education. Before that could happen, Megha Joshi enters their lives and changes everything. For Akash falls head over heels in love with her, and will do anything for her. Raj mysteriously disappears, and Kishan falls off a building; Murari, a greedy employee of the Oberoi family, brings in a look-alike of Raj, namely Banne Khan (also Govinda), and his wife, Salma Khan, who poses as his nurse, so that Banne Khan and Murari both rule over the Oberoi family, and reap the benefits.

Chandru's friends make fun of him as he does not have a girlfriend. He points out at a girl claiming that she is his girlfriend, due to which a number of unfortunate events take place in her life.
