Biography

Tyson Smith, better known by his ring name Kenny Omega, is a Canadian professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which he helped found in 2019, where he is a two-time AEW World Champion, one-time AEW International Champion, one-time AEW World Tag Team Champion with Adam Page, and two-time AEW World Trios Champion alongside the Young Bucks. Before joining AEW, Omega established himself as one of the world's top wrestlers during his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) from 2010 to 2019. As "The Cleaner" and leader of Bullet Club, he became a one-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, one-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, inaugural and two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion, and two-time NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champion. In 2016, he became the first non-Japanese wrestler ever to win the G1 Climax tournament. Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation, Omega has been praised by fans and critics for his athleticism, storytelling, innovation, and elite big-match performances, earning him the nickname "The Best Bout Machine." His work has earned widespread critical acclaim, including multiple Wrestler of the Year, Match of the Year, Feud of the Year, and MVP awards from Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and Tokyo Sports, while twice being ranked the No. 1 wrestler in the PWI 500. He is also known for blending his passion for video games into his persona through entrances, gear, references, and performances inspired by gaming culture.

Ring of Honor Wrestling is a professional wrestling television series produced by Ring of Honor. The series features the professional wrestlers of Ring of Honor competing in matches, along with interviews from the wrestlers. Combined, these elements create and further the storylines of ROH. The pilot episode was taped on February 28, 2009, and aired on March 21, 2009. The show aired weekly on HDNet in the United States. On February 11, 2010 it was announced that Ring of Honor Wrestling would be airing in Italy on Dahlia TV. The show was voted as the Best Weekly Television Show in the 2010 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards. The series' 100th and final HDNet episode aired on April 4, 2011. The series returned on the stations of Sinclair Broadcast Group' on September 24, 2011.

ROH: Survival of the Fittest 2009

Survival of the Fittest 2009 was a professional wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on October 10, 2009 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was the first Survival of the Fittest tournament since 2007, as the 2008 tournament was canceled a few weeks before taking place and never rescheduled. This was the first Survival of the Fittest tournament not to included Austin Aries, who, despite appearing on the event, was instead teaming with Davey Richards in a dream tag team match against the Briscoe Brothers. Aries was the only wrestler to compete in every Survival of the Fittest tournament up to that point, always making it the final match. Notable entrants in the tournament include winner of the 2005 tournament, Roderick Strong, winner of the 2006 tournament, Delirious, and winner of the 2007 tournament, Chris Hero.
