Biography

Keeley Gainey is an English Actress, born on July 22nd, 1977 in South London. Gainey started acting at the tender age of 17 after completing drama training at the renowned Anna Scher Theatre in London, before landing roles in the popular TV series such as Bramwell and films such as War Bride (2001) and The Deal (2003) starring along side the likes of Anna Friel, Danny Dyer Linda Bassett, Jemma Redgrave and Claudie Blakley. Keeley took a sabbatical from acting for 20 years to focus her attention on nurturing her family and running businesses. Gainey is Managing Director of four care homes for young adults with severe disabilities and is also Director of a scaffolding business based in Wimbledon. In 2022 Keeley wrote, directed and produced her own debut short film, The Unexpected Expectant Father (2022), loosely based around real-life experiences she encountered over the years from running care homes and being involved with social services. The short film marks her return to filmmaking and the production was completed with a sparse crew and using a lot of non actors including some debut performances.
