After watching a concert by a fledgling rock band, renowned songwriter Marczak decides to promote only its vocalist, Sylwia. The girl decides to leave her bandmates, including her boyfriend, Janek. She is to perform at a festival in Gradów. Marczak's ex-wife, singer Majka Lenczewska, whom he drove to a nervous breakdown, wants to return to the stage. Marczak asks Majka's current husband to compose a song for Sylwia. He agrees on the condition that the songwriter will not help Majka make her comeback.

The action takes place in occupied Poland during World War II. Ewa moves into the tenement house where 12-year-old Filip lives. Since she meets the Germans, the inhabitants of the tenement house avoid her. Filip, on the orders of "Gypsy", who follows Ewa, starts visiting her and tells "Gypsy" about these visits. Soon a friendship is born between him and the girl.
Taste of Chocolate
The Stal sports club from Tczew has acquired a new player. He is a black basketball player. Unfortunately, the plane with Abraham lands in Gdańsk, not in Warsaw, where he is expected. The boy tries to get to Tczew on his own. Meanwhile, the welcoming delegation mistakes another black man for the basketball player and takes him to Tczew. When the mistake comes to light, everyone sets out to find Abraham. Eventually, the basketball player finds his way to his club. But a rival club is also interested in him and tries to sign him at any cost. Meanwhile, Abraham meets the daughter of the owner of Stal, Monika, and falls in love with her.
