Pepi Nana is a doll who comes to life whenever the moon comes out (and her owner is asleep). Moon Baby visits them from the moon and, in what some people might deem a rude guest, proceeds to wake the rest of the toy house with an African thumb piano. He then guides them to Storyland for a story and a song.

Features three ragdoll friends: Tilly, a French girl, with red hair, who speaks in basic French, Tom, a blue haired boy with glasses, and Tiny, the youngest Tot, who is smaller than the others and has green hair. The Tots either stay in their secret house, play games and make exciting discoveries, or they go outside to explore an everyday area in the real world.

When the toys of the Night Garden cant sleep, the Zonk leads them to the ZonkyZoney, an enchanted grove where they can zinkyzzzonk in peace.

While on the deck of 'The Bounty', Tilly spots a message in a bottle, and Tom catches it in his crabbing bucket. On opening the bottle, the Tots discover a treasure map, so they set off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Tilly, Tom and Tiny find themselves on an aeroplane until they come to realise that when they're landing, they are in another part of the world, non other than America. The Tots embark on a special adventure where they discover a restaurant where you can order food and music by telephone, a special tree, they go scuba diving and then later discover a cowboy town.

Tilly, Tom and Tiny go off in search of a snowy adventure. They visit a land far, far away where it is very cold and everywhere is covered in lots and lots of snow. The Tots have even more fun when they return to their secret house and find it also covered in snow. Now everyone including Furryboo and Donkey can enjoy a magical white Christmas!

Further adventures with loveable puppets Tilly, Tom and Tiny, whose escapades in the real world are designed to encourage children to think for themselves.
