Biopic covering a large portion of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky's life, from the Petrashevsky Circle to the writing of The Brothers Karamazov.
The year is 1915. Europe is engulfed in the flames of the First World War. At this time, the revolutionary theorist, political emigrant and adventurer Alexander Parvus is holding talks with the German Foreign Minister, Gottlieb von Jagow. The negotiations end with unexpected success. The German government personally allocates "a lot of money" to Parvus, which should go to the revolution in Russia. This is the beginning of a story that tells not only about the life of this extraordinary man and his role in the historical events that ended in October 1917.
The film almanac brings together 5 stories about young and energetic people who are not afraid to be free and to make mistakes. They live life to the fullest and think they’re ready to do anything for such a life. However, each of them, succumbing to their carelessness, once made the wrong choice. Unable to correct the mistakes of their youth, the characters’ lives become a consequence of those mistakes. They will have to understand how important it is to make choices consciously and take responsibility for the consequences.
