La Pampa, Argentina. María, a teacher in a small town who is about to become a mother, decides to leave her violent husband to raise her child in a better place. A small incident triggers the beginning of her journey through the hostile desert.

Barbara’s behavior at school unlishes the suspicions of her teacher and the school psychologist, Sara. Talks at school with Sara, begin to reveal fears and darkness that the girl hides behind her eyes. Already convinced of her suspicions, Sara tries to get her superiors’ support as well as Barbara’s mother support to set her free out of her pain. Barbara’s mother denial, her own fear and the inaction of different institutions seem to be impossible barriers to overcome.
It tells the story of a couple traveling to repair a bucolic country house. As the days pass, the woman begins to sense a strange presence. A sinister figure protects the abandoned house, driving its inhabitants to madness and death.

Sebastián, an architect in crisis with his wife, occasionally passes through a small town. Mariela, an orphan girl, believes him to be the one sent by God for whom she has been praying and lies in town saying that he is her uncle and that he has come to take care of her. Sebastián begins to relate to Mariela and her past. The lie grows, Sebastián begins to doubt his true identity and Mariela, and the whole town, will try to prevent him from leaving.
A new neighbor arrives at the building with a strange suitcase. He doesn't receive visitors or talk to anyone, but a light flashes under his door. Only Lila knows his secret: she spies on him from her window and every night they share the ritual. The neighbors are scared: mysterious noises invade the building. You have to call the fumigator.
