Nacho is a 15-year-old boy who lives in northern Chile with his astronomer parents. They want their son to continue his studies in the capital, so they send him to live with his uncle and aunt who live there. Thus, from a rural school to the big city, from the starry skies and northern solitude to smog, hustle and bustle of the capital, Nacho will try to adapt and stop being "the new one".

Papelucho, who has always been fascinated by aliens, decides to catch one and sets a trap. Amazingly it succeeds, and the lost Martian child Det ends up living through Papelucho, with hilarious consequences. The two build a spaceship and travel to Mars, only to escape back to Earth again after the Great Leader of Mars threatens to eat them. Det eventually takes over the body of Papelucho's dog, Choclo, but when Choclo's health is put at risk Papelucho has a difficult decision to make.

Mampato, a little boy with a time-travelling belt, goes with his caveman friend Ogú to the ancient land of Rapa Nui on Easter Island. There they will meet a little girl name Marama and discover the old traditions of the natives.
