Biography
Andrea Corsini was born in Italy in 1980. He's a multiple awarded director and screenwriter. His works has been showcased at Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, Aesthetica, Rhode Island, Triennale di Milano, Fantasia, BIFAN. He's been a selected director at internation development programs Cannes Frontières, Milano Film Network and European Genre Forum. In 2011 he wrote and directed the short film Non Nel Mio Giardino. In 2018 his experimental documentary Societas Mortis has been premiered at Triennale di Milano. In 2019 he’s written and directed the short film Ferine premiered at 76. Mostra del Cinema di Venezia Int. Critics Week. He's now in production with his feature film debut "Ferine (aka Beasts of Prey)", expansion of his short film Ferine.
Known For
Eva, a mysterious woman who lives in the forest, sets a field of sunflowers on fire. She tells the police commissioner who arrests her that she did it because the children are in danger and must be protected. Eva believes she has a mission and she talks like a preacher, a sort of Joan of Arc. She sees strange blue lights in the sky. Her case is associated with the mysterious disappearance of children that have been occurring in the area, even if the youngsters seem to gladly follow her around. In the meantime, in China, a woman is exasperated because her daughter is sick.

A tragic event shatters a rich art collector's life, awakening her primal nature. She destroys her privileged existence to build a new concept of family, leading her on a path of destruction and animalistic transformation.
Ferine
A woman wanders in a big and empty parking lots following a man who she seems to want to ambush. From her gestures something furious and menacing emerges. Everything seems to draw back to a woods beyond her abandoned home, a place that hides the true nature of her actions.

Marco, a thirty-year-old man, is being treated by a psychiatrist for sudden outbursts of anger. He joins a trip for people with mental health issues. The excursion takes place on the Sardinian coast, aboard a sailboat called AndareVia. The boat's passengers are challenged to deal with the distress of others.
AndareVia
Men dressed in black confraternal clothes come out of a church, carrying with difficulty a large cross of iron and wood and walk without accompanists, without a band and without a procession. It happens in Monterosso al Mare, a tourist resort of the Cinque Terre (Liguria, Italy), where every year the rite of the Societas Mortis is staged, a pilgrimage that reaches the monastery of Soviore from the streets of the village at 800 meters above sea level. A ritual that, between contradictions and reinterpretations, continues to survive.
Societas Mortis
An old man and a young one, probably father and son, go hunting together in a woodland, trying to re-establish their damaged relationship. But their gestures and the strange ordinariness of their silence seem to disguise something beyond normality.
