Vivian Qu was born in Beijing, China. She is a director, writer and producer, known for Trap Street (2013), Black Coal, Thin Ice (2014) and Angels Wear White (2017). She is the first woman director to ever win Best Director at both the Golden Horse Awards and the China Film Director's Guild Awards.
