Gerrit Schoonhoven (27 Sep 1958 – 20 Oct 2020) was a South African filmmaker, television director and actor. He is best known for directing the soapie Binnelanders.

That lease has now expired and the family wants the Coloured community living there to move out to make way for the development of a holiday resort.
