Nasser, a 30-something Parisian with a troubled past, returns to Paris after some jail time. Margot, his probation officer, urges him to work at LE PRESTIGE, his brother's bar located right next to the Moulin Rouge, in the heart of Pigalle - one of Paris’ most diverse and rawest neighborhoods. But deep wounds between the two brothers make this collaboration difficult from the start, and even more so when Nasser decides to get back in the game by throwing exclusive parties against his brother's will.

The story hones in on Mia, a 25-year-old Parisian who works in a nail bar on Rue des Dames. Unbeknownst to her employer and in exchange for money, she arranges access, for some of the salon’s female clients, to sought-after parties attended by high-profile footballers…

Fresh out of jail, Ulysse has only one idea in mind: making money. Confronted by his depressed mother, Gabrielle, the bills that never stop piling up and his desire to live his life to the full, he makes a plan. Twenty years after its first babblings in the popular quarters of New York, rap has imposed its presence beyond the borders. Je rap donc je suis (I Rap Therefore I Am) goes around five different towns where it meets rappers driven by the same motivation. In Paris and its suburbs, Marseille and its districts, Algiers, London or Berlin, rappers move, play, record, teach... And above all, they talk. Outside of any promotional context, the present-day heralds of French hip-hop, from La Rumeur to IAM, speak about the role of rap, the environment in which it was born, boredom, the feeling of belonging to a sacrificed generation, drugs in districts of towns, immigration, parents, political and social actors, the police, school, writing, money, the parallel economy, violence...

An ordinary suburban town. The presence of law enforcement in the neighborhood leads to a confrontation between young people and the police when night falls. The eldest son of a fatherless family, an illegitimate child and asthmatic, is sent by his mother to find Mehdi, the 17-year-old youngest son, the beloved child.
