After the bloody battle against Hades, the goddess Athena and her saints are still recovering when they find themselves face to face with their newest and most formidable foe: the dreadful moon goddess Artemis. The New Beginning in Osaka 2016 is a professional wrestling event promoted by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that took place on February 11, 2016, at EDION Arena Osaka in Osaka, Japan. It was the ninth total event under the New Beginning name and the third held in Osaka, and featured Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Hirooki Goto in the main event.

The fourteenth and final night of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s annual junior heavyweight round-robin tournament took place on July 7, 2016, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, and featured the final match to crown the winner of Best of the Super Juniors 23.
