Live without food? Draw energy from the environment—like plants? Is this realistic? The film follows a group of people who claim that it is possible to nourish oneself with light. Marek, a Polish bioenergy therapist living in Greece, did not eat for 63 days and lost more than half his body weight, which almost cost him his life. Krzysztof has just returned to Poland after a long stay in India, where he studied yoga. So far, he has fasted for a month, but he plans to finally cleanse his body and live without traditional food. Kazimierz claims that he has already done so and has been drawing energy directly from the sun for five years. Joanna has only gone without food for two weeks so far, but she believes that switching to not eating is the path to happiness for her. The protagonists, talking about their experiences, have the courage to contradict modern science.

The movie observes a group of western left-wingers during their visit to Poland. The aim is to confront their common expectations regarding communism and the transformation of the former socialist countries with the reality. ‘Crazy Guides’ agency provides lots of attractions for heroes by stowing them into trabis and taking to Nowa Huta –The Perfect City according to Socio-Realism rules. The group not only admires the newest historical monuments but is also having a chance to feel how the villagers lived. Therefore, the heroes would milk a cow, plough up a field and tresh cereal filling their stomachs with potatoes during spare time. A visit to the metallurgical factory followed by an illustrating lecture and discussion with Nowa Huta’s true dwellers bring change to heroes’ attitude. The tourists notice that the perfect world had also it’s darker sides and that the central system of planned economy wasn’t such a brilliant idea at all.
The Second World War. Spring 1944. Salamander, an old diplomat and a young commando Marek are parachuted into Nazi-occupied Poland. Salamander presents Churchill’s proposal to the leaders of the Polish underground: An agreement with the Soviets that will give Russia half of the territory of pre-war Poland, inhabited by ethnic minorities – Ukrainians, Belarusians and Latvians – but will allow the truncated country to maintain its independence. However, the diplomat is considered a traitor, poisoned and, as a result, paralyzed. What’s worse, betrayal is lurking everywhere – even Marek’s fiancée turns out to be a Soviet agent… Desperate Marek saves Salamander, taking him by plane to London along with the German V-2 rocket (captured by Polish intelligence). However, due to the delay, they reach Churchill too late. The Red Army has already entered Poland and a communist puppet government is established, completely subordinated to the Soviets.
At the end of the 20th century Pope John Paul II reintroduced the ritual of exorcism into the Roman Catholic Church. In Poland, exorcisms quickly gained popularity, the Catholic Church performs there about 20.000 exorcisms every year. We follow several Polish girls who believe they are 'possessed' and undergo exorcisms. This gives us an insight to the world of exorcists. Father Radon, a Catholic priest and scientist attempts to research the subject. Is exorcism really helping the needy? Or is it a superstition that prevents people with mental disorder from taking advantage of psychiatric treatment?
