Sam Loco Efe

This is the story of Okonkwo, an Ibo man who lives in the village of Umoufia, in Nigeria. It shows the traditions and culture of the Ibo people, while also telling Okonkwo's story. This miniseries is an adaptation of Chinua Achebe's novel of the same name.

Long John is a witty, parochial smart ‘busy body’ who is always quick to bombard people with sarcastic venoms that he spits out from his mouth. He is ever ready to cast aspersions on his amoral wife but ironically his libertine instinct is insatiable as he gets hooked on Tochi, a pretty girl from the city. Long John employs of all tactics to woo Tochi at the expense of his wife. [parts 1-2]

Ukwa is a village champion who goes to the city to live with his moneyed elder brother. Much to his horror he is relegated to the house driver, in his new abode.

Anya is from a very poor family who asks his father Kodo why they are poor. The answer he gets is that, it is due to inheritance. Anya decides to discontinue that trend of poor lineage and make money by all means. Aba on the other hand who is from a very rich family asks his father Ichie Bullion how come he is so rich. His father tells him that being rich comes from hard work. Aba wants the easy way out to be rich. Now lets see how any of them makes it to the level they aim. [parts 1-2]

Mr. Owolabi is a father of four whose quest to create a just society unwittingly earns him a ten year jail term. His incarceration wreaks havoc on his family, who are forced to do whatever it takes to survive.
