Biography
Kayhan Yıldızoğlu (28 May 1933 - 9 March 2024) was a Turkish film and TV series actor. His father was an agricultural engineer of Circassian origin and his mother was a teacher from Crete. In 1955, he did his military service as a reserve officer. Upon his return, he became a foreign exchange commissioner at the Istanbul exchange office. While working there, she was invited to an acting audition by Muhsin Ertuğrul after completing his missing documents. When he was liked at the auditions, another era opened for Yıldızoğlu. Yıldızoğlu, who made his first film in 1966 under the guidance of Haldun Taner, generally played priest, doctor, commissioner and supporting roles in Turkish cinema. In 1969, he lived with Şener Şen in an apartment in Cihangir for 3.5 years. Yıldızoğlu has appeared in over 150 movies and also in television series. In the series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu on Kanal D, he played a role nicknamed Yüce Majeste. Kayhan Yıldızoğlu was married to Suna Yıldızoğlu, who was also a movie actress. Yıldızoğlu died on March 9, 2024 at the age of 90 in Istanbul due to old age.

The film tells the story of a group of bandits captured in the Cudi Mountains 35 years ago. All of them have died, either from illness or vendettas; only Baran (Şener Şen) survives. After serving his 35-year sentence, Baran is released from Viranşehir Prison and learns that his birthplace is now submerged under the waters of a dam. Ceren Ana (Zübeyde Erden) tells him about the past. Baran is imprisoned because of the betrayal of his old friend Berfo (Kamran Usluer). Berfo stole the bandits gold, bought his childhood love Keje (Sermin Hürmeriç) from her father, and fled to Istanbul. While Baran is searching for Keje, he encounters a young man named Cumali (Uğur Yücel). These two men find solace in each other to avoid being swept away by the storms of the big city. And in this world where violence, betrayal, passion, boundless love and hatred intertwine, they try to survive.

Sultan Khan of Ottoman Empire has fallen in love with Princess Iren of Byzantium. When he asks her father Niktol for her hand he refuses and tries to kill Khan. The Sultan's armies then attack and overtake Constantinople (now renamed Istanbul). Niktol kills Princess Iren and flees with his army to the island of Lesbos. From Lesbos, Niktol launches a series of ruthless attacks on Turkish villages resulting in the death of one of the Sultan's guard's mother. The guard, Murat, is sent by the Sultan on a mission to avenge his mother's death and bring back the head of the man who killed Iren. Murat goes undercover in Lesbos posing as Royal Guard Kostas, seeking the killers.
