Kabouter Plop is the eponymous protagonist in a children's television series by Studio 100. The television series is directed by Bart Van Leemputten. Most episodes last about five minutes and are set in Plop's milk inn or in Kabouter forest. The stories often involve pranks by naughty Kabouter Klus. Each episode starts with Plop lying in bed and reviewing what happened the past day. At the end of the episode he says he goes to "Kabouter dream land". Most episodes contain a moral.
Piet Piraat is the great-grandson of the notable pirate Karel Karolus Piraat. Grandpa Karolus once found a treasure. He hid the treasure in the ground and made a treasure map, but forgot to identify the place. Now Piet Piraat roams the great waters with his ship 'De Scheve Schuit' in search of adventure. He is a tough sailor but has a gingerbread heart. But Piet Piraat cannot do it alone, he has his 3 friends. They eat chunks of bread on the crooked barge. That bread baked by Berend Brokkenpap. His chunky bread is delicious but his soup is way too weak. And they never sail lost, because the helmsman is Stien Struis! She's as strong as a beer, but she's as strong as a mouse. And Steven Quiet, you never hear him, because he can't talk. Even if he really wanted to, he never sings along with the lie! These sailors are also there for each other during busy times. All chickens are on deck for Piet Piraat and his crazy gang!

On a dark night, De Scheve Schuit sails into a strange ship. When Piet and his friends take a look on board of this spooky ship, the crew appears to be cursed. They have all been transformed into stone statues! Piet wants to break the curse because he feels very attracted to the captain of the ship, Captain Marylin. It soon turns out that the solution is the ship itself; it's a flying ship! To make the ship fly, a blue pearl is needed. This can only be found on Oyster Island, an island inhabited by mysterious caves and carnivorous plants...
After a heavy storm, the grumpy Captain Eksteroog ends up on an uninhabited island. To spare the time, he decides to search for a treasure that his arch-enemy Zilvertand once buried there. Captain Eksteroog soon notices that he is not alone. Reus, a big guy of two meters and five children with their dog Smikkel have also ended up on the island. Captain Eksteroog and Reus capture dog Smikkel and force the children to search for the treasure. Meanwhile, Piet, Berend, Stien and Steven discover an island that is not on any of their maps. They go on an investigation and end up on the same island where Captain Eksteroog's resides! When they find the children there, they decide to help them find the treasure. But what if they find it and Captain Eksteroog still won't let them leave?
When the sick Gnome Easter Bunny comes knocking on Plop's door to help him prepare and hide the eggs for the gnome children this year, Plop immediately calls on all his friends to help him. While Kwebbel takes care of the sick Easter Bunny, Klus makes a real Easter egg machine and all the gnomes help out. Only Smul has a wicked plan, he wants to steal eggs in revenge because the gnome Easter Bunny once forgot about him. But of course that turns out to be a misunderstanding...

Klus decides to build a real airship with which the gnomes can fly to Uncle Knap, but the journey is difficult and not without dangers..
