Three friends, Emil, Vrabec and Mišo, spend every Sunday playing the lottery, each nursing a personal dream: Emil wants a Jawa 250 motorcycle, Vrabec hopes for a Pionier scooter and Mišo imagines funding a world tour. Frustrated by constant losses, they decide to maximize their stake in the next draw, convinced that more money will tip the odds in their favor. Their plan takes an unexpected turn when they meet attractive Eva Dvorčíková on a televised variety show - Eva has long been Mišo’s unspoken crush. To determine who will have the right to win her affection, the friends agree to draw lots, putting their bonds and ambitions to the test.
A fortune teller predicts that Dr. Přelouč will marry the third poor girl he meets. Míla, the daughter of factory owner Janota, likes the doctor and, with the help of his housekeeper Amálka, sneaks into his home disguised as a poor shoelace saleswoman. She first prepares for her role by exploring the outskirts, where she meets Vendelín Pleticha, who becomes her guide to the local pubs and her teacher of the vernacular. Dr. Přelouč is enthusiastic about the poor, uneducated girl and tries to teach her the basics of social behavior and standard language. All this until he discovers that Míla has deceived him and that Pleticha is not her father, as she had claimed...
A village shop owner is convinced by his children to move to Prague, where they say he'll be able to enjoy a fine retirement in a modern furnished apartment. Bored by life in Prague with nothing to do, the old man takes to helping a young widow in her stationery shop.

The focus here is not on the lost part of the wardrobe, but on piano virtuoso Arne Brant, a man armed with a charming smile and surrounded by women, two of whom have particularly influenced his life. An orderly and well-bred daughter from an honorable family who lives her second life as a lady of high society. The lost glove complicates the situation for all of them considerably, but in the end she finds her rightful place, just like the heroes of the film...

Folk song collector Dr. Šerk arrives in the remote village of Lesov. He is enchanted by the singing of sixteen-year-old Madla Satranová and he records her songs for radio broadcast. Šerk's friend, composer Jaroslav Klán, takes care of a group of orphans, from whom he has formed a choir. Šerk brings the orphaned Madla to him. The teenage girl begins to help the housewife Nána with the care of the children.
Young engineer Petr Pavelec works on a dam plan on the Loučnica River. He meets Irena, the daughter of an unscrupulous construction entrepreneur Berka, and falls in love with her. Successful writer Gabriel Anděl still loves his wife Lola very much, but he can't stand the way she is always getting involved in his work, so he decides to divorce her. Just as he is about to move into his country villa, a police inspector appears on the scene with a warning that some crooks are planning to sell the house in question to a rich Czech-American. Anděl and the inspector immediately drive there and indeed find a gang of criminals disguised as servants. However, these are far from the only crooks involved in this complicated case. Pharmacist Pavlovský has a modern and sporty son, Karel, also a pharmacist, whom he would like to marry. However, Miroslava is a girl strictly led by her conservative parents and therefore lacks any charm. Karel also meets his uncle Ambrož in the family, who lives a double life. He is a serious older man by day and secretly flees at night so that he can perform in the local theater.
