Landowner Martin Kaas lives with his grandson Martin at Næsbygård. Martin is an avid horseman. One day, his horse loses a shoe, so Martin goes to see the village blacksmith Mortensen, where he meets the blacksmith's foster daughter Elise. The blacksmith is known to be an honest and religious man, but no one but Elise knows how brutal and cruel he really is. Elise discovers that her foster father, together with the estate's manager Hermansen, is involved in many shady deals that are not in the best interests of the estate. Martin, who often feels lonely, forms a warm friendship with Elise. One day, Martin disappears, and a letter left on his bed reveals that he has been kidnapped and that only a large ransom can bring the boy back.

A bunch of wagons are crossing the border. It's the Karla Circus, which, after a rough season in Germany, is gonna try its luck in Denmark. Mrs. Karla, the beloved and respected circus director, goes through passports and papers with the customs officers... everything's fine, so the circus caravan can keep going to the next town. One of the circus employees is caught harboring a vagrant in his wagon. But when it turns out that the vagrant is an excellent flute player, he becomes an asset to Circus Karla.

In order to preserve the family farm Hamre, Bente follows her dying father's wishes and marries the brutal landowner's son Gorm. He hunts the young girls on the farm and succumbs to the evil and scheming influence of the marksman Grove. The unhappy marriage turns into a veritable power struggle between Bente and Gorm. A folk comedy set in a village on the island of Zealand, where a powerful and dishonest businessman tries to trick the traditional owner out of his farm, Svanegården. The businessman wants to sell it to the Germans, but a group of brave people and couples in love manage to prevent this from happening.

Martin the vagabond is cheerful and musical like few others. Together with his new friend Anders, he sings his way to a meal and a place to sleep. During a performance, Anders meets the daughter of Bakkegaarden, whose mother has been a widow for a long time and may have a past with Martin. In prison, he has a friend named "Fusser," and when they are released, Fusser decides to investigate Jørgen's case.

They have discovered that under Mosegaarden's lean fields and high slopes there are large quantities of raw gravel. Chr. Thorup, who owns the site, has mortgaged the farm far above the chimneys. Now the Uglegaards brothers are just waiting for the right time to take over Mosegaarden. But when Thorup's son, Henrik, unexpectedly shows up at Mosegaarden, the three brothers' sinister plans are thrown into disarray.

One day, a young man unexpectedly shows up in the small town, and word quickly spreads that he has inherited a fishing boat and a small house from his uncle. Martin Poulsen is not a fisherman, but he decides to become one. He finds a good helper, Mikkel, who has been fishing for many years, and his nephew, Anders, who has his eye on Marie from Møllegården. When Hjalmar Hagerts son, Bertil, returns after graduated at Alnarps agricultural school Hjalmar gets a phone call from his friend and lawyer Friberg. He want's to talk about commonly known Törner that is very sick and needs help.

Martin returns home with a good sum of money in his pocket after working in Greenland. He settles down with his sister, who runs the inn – but much has changed. He is most disappointed that his childhood sweetheart Martha has married Just Hovmand, who owns the Lunehøj farm. Martin starts a machine station and is immediately ready to help Martha and her husband when they run into financial difficulties. But stubborn Just refuses to accept money from Martha's former boyfriend. As usual in a good Morten Korch film, there are a couple of pleasant 'cousins' – Chr. Arhoff and Peter Malberg – and they come up with many good solutions...

Viggo and Martin grow up to be two handsome men who are also inseparable friends—until they fall in love with the same girl...

The young and spirited farmer Ole Offor takes over the Enekær farm on Zealand, along with its stud farm and enormous debt. At the same time, he marries Bente, the daughter of the farm's former owner. Although it is initially a marriage of convenience, the young couple develop strong feelings for each other, and together they take up the fight against debt, Bente's evil stepmother, and her nasty lover, riding master Wilders.

At the Næsbygaard estate, the old landowner misses his grandson Martin, who is on a cattle farm in Texas learning about agriculture. The estate's shooter is ill, so the stud master has to take care of his job as well. This comes at a time when he is training hard for the gallop race for the King's honorary prize. To help lift their spirits, they are visited by some children from Copenhagen who are on vacation. When serious problems arise involving poaching on the estate's land, the children help to solve the case. The stud farm manager is injured, and it looks as if the estate's horse will not be able to participate in the big gallop race. But luckily, young Martin returns home from Texas just in time....
