Four young women, Mary, Lola, Katya and Vasilisa, arrive in Moscow from a town to live together in an apartment. They deal with various hilarious situations on a daily basis.

Petr is not only a successful writer but also is the owner of the agen- cy called Alibi — that creates alibis for the clients who need to hide their lies and failures. His second business is hidden, so he himself has a double life. But his attitude to lies changes when his own wife appears at the agency asking for an alibi. From this moment on, he will solve not only his client’s problems, but his own. Unfortu- nately, he’ll be able to help everyone but himself.

Peace and tranquility have set in Belogorie. The evil was defeated and Ivan is now enjoying his well-deserved fame. He is surrounded by his family, friends and small wonders from the modern world that help him lead a comfortable life. Luckily, he has his Magic Sword to cut a gap between the worlds to get some supplies quite regularly. But when an ancient evil rises and the existence of the magic world is put to danger, Ivan has to team up with his old friends and his new rivals. They will set out on a long journey beyond the known world to find a way to defeat the enemies and to return peace to Belogorie.

An epic saga which takes place over a long time span from 1961 to 1991. From the midpoint of the story we view the friendship of four boys. In season main heroes are in their 20's, they are childhood friends, and for the sake of their friendship they are ready to sacrifice anything. Everyone has their own dreams, but their circumstances will take them on a difficult path and they will be forced into all kinds of underground economic dealings in the early 60s. And, worst of all - they are successful in this business. And the more successful they are, the further they get from their real dreams.

The year 1829. Nikolay Gogol, a young Third Section clerk, is desperate: his own books seem shallow and mediocre, so he keeps buying entire print runs just to burn them all. He is suffering from violent epileptic seizures and struggles to keep on working. Investigator Yakov Guro accidentally witnesses one such fit and realizes that Gogol's visions contain clues that could help solve actual crimes. Together, Gogol and Guro take on a particularly weird and baffling case that brings them to a small village of Dikanka, where everyone has a huge secret to hide.

An ordinary provincial family huddles in a small apartment with carpets on the walls. The head of the family is forced to save on everything in order to feed his wife, son and nephew. Therefore, the appearance of a "Maybach" in the next of kin is an extraordinary event. However, the righteous desire to give relatives a ride in a premium car does not end well: the car ends up in the river, and the grief-stricken family is in debt to the main city bandit, whom even the local police are afraid of.

1917, shortly after the assassination of Grigory Rasputin. The provisional government appoints investigator Heinrich Ivanovich Svitten to study the case of the deceased and find out who he really was for others and for the whole of Russia. Switten collects information bit by bit about the ambiguous elder, but sometimes it is very difficult to distinguish the truth from human speculation. Rasputin's confidants and even members of the royal family help him in the investigation, but everyone has a personal attitude towards this mysterious man. Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, on the one hand, respects him immensely, and on the other hand, Switten notices something similar to fear.

Now that Ivan is about to turn 21, he is now grown up and finally old enough to marry the beautiful Vasilisa. But when Vasilisa is kidnapped and trapped in modern Moscow, Ivan and his friends must travel to the present day to rescue her.

Nikolai Gogol, a scribe from Saint Petersburg has to take charge of the investigation, but the closer he gets to solving the case, the more fits he has, causing macabre visions. When he learns the next victim is his beloved, Liza, he doubts that he can protect her and resist the murderer. Fortunately, he meets somebody who can help him: Khoma Brut, the witch hunter, martial artist and philosopher. Together they spend three dreadful nights in an old chapel reading the funeral service for Ulyana, the witch, and calling upon the ghastly evil spirit Viy.

Alyssa is only fifteen, and her teachers are tired of calling her mother into school, while Alyssa’s mother can't understand what is going on with her child. Alyssa then finally learns what has been hidden from her for years: she will soon go completely blind. A little longer, and she will be in total darkness. She vows to live to the fullest while she can and decides that it would be stupid to waste time on school. It is better to grow up fast, earn some easy money, and move to a big and beautiful city. But pretty soon Alyssa's teenage illusions are shattered by reality, and her mother's strategy of pretending that all is well will inevitably lead to disaster.

Soon after Gogol's death, Binh names him guilty for the deaths of the Cossacks and the young women at the hands of the Dark Horseman, since he was the one who ordered them to be hidden in the barn. Bomgart is unable to perform a post-mortem analysis on the Gogol's body, while Vakula's daughter Vasilina (who secretly has magic abilities) proclaims denial about Gogol's demise.
